Choosing Free Weights
Quality and versatility are key when choosing free weights for your home gym. Our rubber hex dumbbells, and powder coated kettlebells ensure you have quality equipment that will last. You'll want to ensure your weight selection includes option for both lighter and heavier lifts, allowing you to progress as needed.
Choosing a Rack
When choosing your rack, consider budget, ceiling height, workout style, and whether you want your rack to be free-standing or bolted to the ground.
- Squat Cage (Most Robust): Ideal for any gym, with 4 uprights, safety spotter pins, and a pull-up bar. Requires bolting to the floor and lacks plate storage.
- Squat Rack (Most Versatile): Free-standing with a pull-up bar and rear weight storage. Available in 93" and 103" heights.
- Squat Stand (Smallest Footprint): Great for those who don't need a pull-up bar or have low ceilings. Not recommended for use with the dip station.
All of our racks come with j-cups, have 2-inch-spaced holes with laser-engraved numbers denoting every other hole, and are compatible with 5/8" accessories.
Choosing a Barbell
Our selection of barbells includes styles suitable for all-around use. Most lifters choose our 20 KG barbells because of their standard weight and 28mm diameter. Meanwhile, our 15 KG barbells have a 25mm diameter and are the standard weight for women's competitions. These are a great option for women, beginners, young athletes, and lifters with smaller hands.
Chrome bars offer a tackier knurl feel, while premium coated bars offer an additional layer of durability.
Choosing Plates
Every gym needs bumper plates! These plates are ideal for home gym use because they are durable and can be dropped on most floors. Our Nike Grind Plates are the most popular, while the black rubber bumper plates offer a slimmer profile and a lower bounce than the Nike Grind version
Change plates are an excellent addition to your assortment, and allow you to incrementally add to your lifts to constantly push the boundaries of your ability.
Choosing a Bench
A bench is a home gym staple for free weights, and barbell lifts. The rolling weight bench offers a convenient mobile solution that easily slides in and out of the rack and the tree legged design makes it great for bench pressing where you need the room for your legs.
The flat bench is light-weight but has added stability with the wider feet making it preferable for exercises that involve jumping on or off the bench.
Choosing a Storage & Attachments
Space efficient storage is key for making your home gym functional, and creating a polished environment where you feel motivated to work out.
The Nike Dumbbell Rack gives you three tiers of space that will allow you to store a full set of dumbbells.
The Nike Plate Tree and Barbell Holder has space to store all your plates and two barbells.
The spotter arms are an excellent safety addition for any of our Squat Racks, Stands, or Cages. It provides safety when squatting but is also excellent for rack pulls. And, the Dip Station Attachment let's you polish off your bench sessions with some tricep work. *
*Dip Station is not recommended for use with the Squat Stand
